It might not be that long until you are eating cloned beef.
That's according to the Food and Drug Administration.
They also say the differences between meat that comes from a clone and meat that comes from the original are indistinguishable...calling the meat and milk from clones as safe as "The food we eat every day."
FDA Veterinarian Dr. Stephen Sunlof says in some ways cloned beef can be better, " Some of the improvements they're looking for, disease resistance, higher quality meat, lower fat, leaner cuts, so those are some of the advantages not only to the producers of these animals but I think to the public as well."
However...the Consumer Federation of America says the FDA is ignoring other research showing that cloning results in more deaths and deformed animals than other reproductive technologies.
