Lawmaker Wants to Make English "Official"

One Senator in Oklahoma is trying to get a bill passed that would make English the official language of Oklahoma.

Senator Kathleen Wilcoxson says she filed the bill because she believes English is the language that the state should be conducting all business in.

If the bill passes, state agencies, local governments, and other political subdivisions could not be forced to provide any documents or written material in any other language but English.
