Cactus ICE Raid Latest

The Swift plant in Cactus is open for business today, despite rumurs the contrary and all shifts are reporting for work.

One day after raids at Swift plants in six cities, the Department of Homeland Security has released more information on just how many people were affected nationwide as well as in Cactus. 

This morning federal officials in charge of Immigration Enforcement and Homeland Security talked openly in Washington about the raids.
   

They said in all... Almost 13 hundred employees at Swift plants nationwide were arrested Tuesday on both immigration violations, and identity theft related crimes. 

At the Swift plant inCactus, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement or "ICE" agents arrested 295 employees on illegal immigration charges, twenty of those on additional identity theft related violations.

The raids are being called 'Operation Wagon Train.' and according to federal agents, it is the single largest worksite enforcement operation to date.
