Captain Kermit Evans Honored

Cannon Air Force Base is honoring their fallen hero today by flying base flags at half staff.

31-year-old Captain Kermit Evans died Sunday in a helicopter accident in Iraq. Evans was deployed from the 27th Civil Engineer Squadron at Cannon.

They will place one of the flags flown today in a shadow box and give it to Evans' wife.

They have scheduled a memorial service for sometime in the next two weeks.
