Amarillo Soldier Killed in Iraq

An Amarillo-area family has just received word of the death of their son fighting in Iraq.
  

The Cooper family was notified late Sunday night that their son
21-year old Army PrivateTroy Cooper died in a roadside bombing this weekend in Iraq.
  

At this time this is all the information the military has released to the family.
   

Newschannel 10 has spoken with the family and tells us Cooper attended River Road High School and leaves behind a wife and his parents.
  

No word yet on when a funeral or memorial for this fallen soldier may be set.
