In the first winter storm of the season Amarillo received a whopping 8.2 inches of snow.
This afternoon the temperatures aren't expected to get above the freezing mark. 27 Degrees is the highest temperature of the day so far.
The good news is, we are not expecting any more snow tonight, but with temperatures dropping down around 10 tonight, expect the roads to remain slick. Bitter cold expected tomorrow with temperatures only in the teens.
Although the city has been out clearing roads, for 24 hours now, there are still some icy conditions. Travel is discouraged but if you do have to venture out DPS advises you be very cautious.
