The New Mexico Forestry Division is offering 200-thousand tree seedlings to landowners around the Land of Enchantment.
Seedlings for 45 different tree and shrub species go on sale tomorrow.
They are available at a low cost to landowners who have at least one acre in New Mexico...and they must agree to use the trees for conservation purposes.
That includes erosion control, reforestation, wildlife habitat, restoring riversides, establishing windbreaks or Christmas tree plantations.
Since the program started in 1960, over six million trees have been planted throughout New Mexico from these seedlings.
