Blood Drive a Success

As we often tell you the need for blood is always critical, especially during the holiday season.

You once again answered the call today as NewsChannel 10 and Coffee Memorial Blood Bank teamed up today for a blood drive...and set a goal of 100 donors.

Coffee Memorial tells us that 134 people showed up to donate today...and they collected 116 units of blood.

That will save nearly 350 lives.

Coffee Memorial serves the entire High Plains area, in order to do that they must collect 600 units of blood each week.

The next blood drive will be Friday, November 24th at the Wal-Marts on Tascosa road and the location at I-27.

You also get a free cholesterol screening when you donate.
