Environmental Impact Study Explained

But before making a final decision on how to move forward with plans for nuclear dismanteling, The National Nuclear Security Agency officials must conduct an Environmental Impact Study on the areas surrounding all eight of the country's nuclear sites...including Amarillo's Pantex plant.

They will study factors that effect the everyday life of people, including land, water, air quality and what impact an accident at the site may have.

Today the administration is in Amarillo conducting a series of public meetings to hear your opinions on how the plan may affect our environment.
