WT Honors Soldiers

West Texas A&M University held a service to honor all fallen soldiers as well as those who were attending WT while in service. 

State Representative John  Smithee was the keynote speaker of the annual event today.

The president of the university stressed the importance for all Americans to remember those who have fought and died for our country.

The service was conducted by the Young Conservatives of Texas along with the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 430.

Canadian Officer Killed in Combat
A Canadian family is mourning the loss of an Army soldier killed in Iraq. On Monday the Henderson family learned about the death of Chief Warrant Officer Miles Henderson. He was serving at Forward Operating Base Striker in Iraq, as a helicopter pilot. There is no word on how he was killed....
