    A Canadian solider who died fighting in Iraq is honored today in his hometown. A memorial service for 24 year old Miles Henderson took place this afternoon . Family, friends and those who never knew the Army Chief Warrant Officer came out to say their final goodbyes.

A Canadian family is mourning the loss of a soldier killed in Iraq. 

On Monday the Henderson family learned about the death of Chief Warrant Officer Miles Henderson. He was serving at Forward Operating Base Striker in Iraq, as a helicopter pilot. 

There is no word on how he was killed. Henderson graduated from Canadian High in 2000. 
  

His family tells us he loved his family, the lord and our country which he was proud to serve. 

The Rotary Club in Canadian will be passing out yellow ribbons at businesses in town this week. They urge residents to wear them Monday November 13th in memory of Henderson.
