Tattooing Now Legal in all States

Tattoo parlors are now legal in the Sooner State.  A law passed by the legislature earlier this year took effect today.

Oklahoma is the state the last in the U.S.  to legalize the practice.

Regulations for tattoo artists are still in the process of being developed. And State Department of Health officials say they're being swamped with questions about the issue.

The requirements for a tattoo license include professional experience in tattooing or completing an approved apprentice program. Applicants must also pass a standardized test and they must complete CPR and first-aid classes.
