AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - Education Credit Union's Financial Education Department won first place in the Desjardins Youth Financial Literacy Award in the $250 million to $1 billion asset category.
The Desjardins Financial Education Awards recognizes leadership in credit unions that demonstrate leadership in youth financial education.
ECU's Financial Education Program is headed by Vice President of Learning and Staff Development Tricia Bass.
Her team includes Roman Fox and Colten Hibbs, financial educators and, Debbie Purvines, technology trainer.
Tricia Bass expresses the significance of the award for ECU.
"This recognition affirms one of ECUs key core values: promotion of financial literacy," said Bass.
The award was presented at the Cornerstone League Leadership Conference and Expo by the Cornerstone Credit Union League.
