HEREFORD, TX (KFDA) - The suspect wanted for allegedly shooting at a Hereford police officer has turned himself in.
According to Hereford Police Chief Brent Harrison, shooting suspect Lucio Zavala Sifuentes, Jr., 33, turned himself in to Hereford police early Saturday evening.
Officials say around 3:00 a.m. Friday, Officer Andrew Johnston stopped to investigate Sifuentes after he walked in front of his police car.
While he was frisking Sifuentes, police say Sifuentes took off running.
After several warnings, Officer Johnston used a taser on him.
Police say Sifuentes shot at Officer Johnston, then fled the scene.
Sifuentes faces charges of attempted capital murder of a police officer.
