NY Congressman charged for insider trading

Republican U.S. Rep. Chris Collins is refusing to step down despite being charged with insider trading.

The Republican says the accusations have no merit and he looks forward to being exonerated.

The congressman plans to run for re-election in November.

BWW looking into sports betting

Buffalo Wild Wings is looking into getting into sports betting.

The sports bar chain is exploring its options after the Supreme Court OK'd gambling throughout the U.S.

Licensing requirement vary by state but Buffalo Wild Wings would likely have to partner with an outside gambling operator.

New Samsung Galaxy Note 

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 9 today.

The new smartphone has the company's largest screen and comes with a stylus pen.

There is no word yet on color options.

Samsung's launch comes just a month ahead of Apple's scheduled unveiling of its newest iPhones.


Amazon virtual jobs

Amazon is looking to fill more than 200 virtual jobs.

The employees will work in a variety of fields, including employee relations, cloud computing software development, and senior regional logistics leader, all from the comfort of their home.

The virtual workers will receive the standard employee benefits package that Amazon provides its full-time workers, including a discount on Amazon products and goods sold and shipped by the retailer.

NOAA  Atlantic hurricane outlook

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration will give an update today on the Atlantic hurricane season outlook.

It comes as the season enters its peak period of August through October.

So far this season there have been four named storms including two hurricanes.

Forecasters will discuss what to expect during the remainder of the season which runs through November 30th.
