National Nuclear Security Administration spokesman Steven Wyatt said the technology can be used at many of its facilities nationwide.

"The Pantex Plant and its sister site, the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee are among the national security facilities around the nation where this capability will be employed," said Wyatt.

The new system will allow security staff to detect, seize and destroy any unauthorized drone flying in their airspace.
