Dave Pendergrass from Amarillo is the first repeat-winner in the contest's five-year history. His winning photograph captures the longhorn cattle passing Amarillo's Potter County Courthouse and Square.

Last year, he won first place with his picture of cowboys waiving to the crowd while leading the cattle drive.

"This was the fifth year for our contest and like others, it was very successful," said Vice President of the Amarillo CVC Dan Quandt. "Congratulations to everyone who entered. We look forward to seeing your entries again next year."

This year's contest had a "Show Me The Beef" theme, so judges were looking for pictures that emphasized the longhorn cattle as they moved through downtown.
