AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - The Amarillo Community Market kicked off its third season of business on Saturday in Amarillo's downtown district.
Hundreds attended the event and sampled foods, products and live entertainment, all courtesy of Amarillo-based businesses.
104 vendors came to the event to show their support for Amarillo's local businesses and to show off their goods to the attendees.
According to Center City's Beth Duke, the event benefits vendors and the community as a whole.
"Every one of these vendors in a local business person," said Duke. "Everything is locally sourced, prepared and made. Another way it helps is it brings so many people downtown."
The event's opening drew over 1000 people in 2017 and was expected to draw even more in 2018.
