Around 3:35 p.m. on June 4, Curry County officials were called to Curry Road 6 between Curry Roads K and L for a crash involving a train and a semi-truck.

Officials say the semi-truck was traveling east on Curry Road 6 and collided with a southbound BNSF train at the railroad crossing.

The semi-truck, carrying milk, overturned onto the passenger side.

Crews with the Clovis Fire Department were able to remove the driver from the semi-truck. He was then transported to a Lubbock hospital with serious injuries.

The BNSF train partially derailed, but no injuries were reported.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

A GoFundMe has been created to help the semi-truck driver with medical expenses.
