AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - Legislators and organizations will gather on Wednesday to discuss the prospects of internet service in the Panhandle's rural areas.
Attendees of the meeting will focus on assessing the impact of Internet access in the area and improving high-speed broadband access for residents in less-populated parts of the Amarillo area.
AARP, Texas State Library and Archives Commission and Glasshouse Policy will host the meeting.
Texas State Representative Four Price (R-Amarillo) and State Senator Charles Perry (R-Lubbock) will attend and discuss broadband issues as well.
The town hall will be held on Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Embassy Suites in Amarillo.
