AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - The Amarillo City Council will consider contracts to rebuild Southeast 34th Avenue to run a pilot program to clean up alleys.
According to the meeting agenda, the road contract for $2.5 million will go to Holmes Construction. Money approved in the last bond election will fund the work from South Grand Street to South Eastern Street.
Republic Services will be working in residential alleys to conduct the test program to help remove bulky items and brush.
The contract will run for one year and cost $250,000.
