Texas Health and Human Services Commission grants $15M to local programs

AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - Four providers of mental health services in the region will be getting shares of $15 million in grants, announced today.

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission said its grants are meant to fund community programs to expand treatment and improve the quality of life for people suffering with mental illnesses.

Locally, the grants will go to Family Support Services, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, United Way of Amarillo and Canyon and West Texas A&M University.
