Homicide victim identified as Pampa Allsup's stabbing investigation continues

PAMPA, TX (KFDA) - Police have released the name of the man who was found dead in the home of the man accused of stabbing an Allsup's clerk on Wednesday.

Police say the body has been identified as 24-year-old Stephen Henry Spencer.

Spencer's body was found on Thursday when police were searching for 23-year-old Aaron Zachary Sackett who is accused of stabbing an Allsups clerk on Wednesday.

The Allsups clerk is in stable condition. He is at an Amarillo hospital where he is receiving treatment for his injuries.

During an investigation and interviews by police detectives, Sackett confessed to killing the Spencer.

He now faces several charges, including:

  • Murder with bail set at $750,000
  • Aggravated robbery with bail set at $750,000
  • Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with bail set at $500,000
  • 2 counts of Tampering with evidence with bail set at $200,000 for each count

The name of the stabbing victim has not been released at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
