AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) -

We begin this week's Water Wasters investigation at the Jiffy Lube located near Georgia Street and Hawthorne Drive.

We received photos of water shooting up into the air and onto the sidewalk in front of the business.

We reached out to Jiffy Lube. They told us they reported the issue to its landscaping company earlier this week.

The issue has since been fixed.

Up next we received photos of the Treepoint Meadows apartment complex where you can see broken sprinklers causing water runoff, and a collection of water near the sidewalk.

When we spoke with them, they said they were unaware of the issues.

They then contacted their landscaping company and will have people out this evening to make the sprinkler repairs.

Finally, a viewer sent us a photo, claiming Whataburger at 3620 east I-40 was wasting water.

But rather than a Whata-waster, the issue was actually "pawned off" on Cash America next door.

The photo was taken of the strip of grass that runs between the two businesses, and actually belongs to Cash America.

We reached out to them, and they said they were aware of the issue.

Turns out, the sprinkler was recently ran over by a lawn mower and they have plans to fix it.

If you are concerned about the water usage of a local business or agency in our area, take a picture and send it to us at waterwasters@newschannel10.com.
