The fire broke out just before 10:00 a.m. at the 1300 block of North Tyler. Officials say an electrical power line running from the alley to a backyard apartment building had burned and fallen on top of the apartment.

Crews were able to put the fire out by 10:15 a.m., but Xcel was called out to kill the power in the alley so crews could search for any possible occupants of the building.

No one was inside the apartment building, and no injuries were reported.

The Amarillo Fire Marshal's Office responded but could not determine the cause of the fire. The fire was ruled undetermined.

Damage from the fire is estimated to be worth $25,000
