AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - The unofficial results for the $50 million bond election at Highland Park ISD are in.
The bond passed with around 69 percent of voters voicing their support for the measure.
School officials said the bond funds will be used for everything from security upgrades to renovating their bus barn facility.
The bond will be funded by a roughly $55-a-year property tax increase for residents within the district.
Highland Park ISD currently owes $9.6 million from two previous bonds.
