Clovis woman found guilty of identity theft, conspiracy

CLOVIS, N.M. (KFDA) - A Clovis woman faces up to three years in prison after a jury found her guilty of identity theft.

Yvonne Amado, 40, was found guilty of theft of identity and conspiracy to commit fraud on Wednesday.

Both charges are fourth degree felonies.

Amando was arrested in August of 2016 after police said she obtained credit cards using stolen identities and used them as part of a shipping fraud conspiracy.

She has been set free on bond pending sentencing.
