AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - In this week's Water Wasters, we address multiple water concerns submitted by the Amarillo community.
We begin the investigation with the Amarillo Independent School District administration building.
We received a couple of videos along with a variety of photos of water skyrocketing into the air.
NewsChannel10 crews were even at the scene of the incident, where you could see water flooding into the parking lot.
Amarillo ISD issued a statement, saying on Friday April 27, a contractor hit a water main while digging.
Yellow tape still marks the spot in the parking lot where a huge hole remains after the incident.
The City of Amarillo worked that night into the morning to repair the water main.
Next, viewers sent us pictures of the Cefco at I-40 and Bell Street, where you can see water splashing onto the frontage road and surrounding area.
I spoke with someone at the Cefco, who said they were aware of the issue and that it had been fixed.
Finally, someone snapped a photo of the ER Now on Coulter Street near Hillside Road, where water was overflowing their flower bed onto the sidewalk and into the street.
A spokesperson with ER Now told NewsChannel10 they are aware of the issue and are working to fix it.
