AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - Car lovers gathered on Saturday to benefit a good cause.
The 17th Annual Day of Thunder Car Show donated proceeds to Martha's Home.
Visitors got to check out classic cars and trucks as the car owners competed for the title.
Gary Fields, president of High Plains Thunderbirds, said the show was an important time for the Amarillo car community.
"We do a lot of fellowshipping among car people," said Fields. "The car clubs here are here for the enjoyment of people that own the cars, they're for the enjoyment of the people that come to see the cars, and we like to share those with the communities.
Martha's Home provides women and children in distress with housing and resources to empower themselves.
