MOORE COUNTY, TX (KFDA) - Dumas police are looking for witnesses who may have seen a bar fight that led to the death of one man last weekend.
After Midnight on Sunday, a bar fight broke out at Bubba's Bar in Dumas. One man, identified as 32-year-old Armando Damasco from California, was assaulted, receiving serious bodily injuries.
A witness says Damasco was laying unconscious on the floor after 37-year-old Joseph Radford continued to hit him. Damasco was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Shortly after the fight, police arrested Radford on charges of aggravated assault with serious bodily injury. He was booked into the Moore County Jail.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help the family of Damasco with funeral expenses. You can donate to that here.
Damasco was in Dumas for business and was staying at the Econo Lodge.
"Oh, he was a happy person," said Rosemary Garcia, an employee at the Econo Lodge. "I would have Christian music on, and he would be singing it."
Damasco leaves behind a fiance and five kids, the youngest just 5-months-old.
"What happened to Armando did not deserve to happen to him," said his fiance, who wanted to stay anonymous. "Now he leaves behind a huge family and major support back in Fresno. I mean you have no idea the support system out there. Now these five children will no longer have him around."
