AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - In this week's Water Wasters, we speak with three different entities regarding water usage concerns sent in by viewers.
We begin today's Water Wasters investigation with a photo we received of Amarillo National Bank at 45th and Bell.
I was able to get in touch with their facilities manager who told me the landscaper noticed it leaking on Monday, and then had it replaced.
He said their team checks the sprinklers regularly and as soon as issues like these come up, they get them fixed.
A viewer also sent in three different pictures of Caprock High School.
Water was seen flooding nearby streets, such as 34th and Seminole, as well as the parking lots of the high school.
I spoke with a school official today who said the water runoff is a product of their sprinkler systems.
They were aware of the issue and told me the sprinklers have been worked on.
Finally, we received a photo of what appears to be a broken sprinkler head just outside the playground area of Pleasant Valley Elementary School.
We reached out to the school, and a spokesperson said they were aware of the issue and that it had been taken care of.
We have also received photos of Amarillo apartment complexes as well as local emergency room facilities.
NewsChannel10 has reached out to those locations and will bring you more on their response, next week on Water Wasters.
If you're concerned about the water usage of a local business or agency, take a picture and send it to us at email@example.com.
We will contact them to come up with a positive solution to the issue.
