AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - A fire that broke out at an Amarillo home this morning caused around $25,000 worth of damage.
Around 4:40 a.m., crews responded to a fire at the 2400 block of South Wilson to find a single story home with the garage engulfed in flames.
Because of the amount of fire and the wind speeds, a second alarm was immediately called. Neighbors to the south of the home were temporarily evacuated.
The fire was considered under control at 5:20 a.m.
The garage was totally destroyed, but very little fire reached the house.
The Amarillo Fire Marshal's Office responded and ruled the cause as undetermined.
