In March, Blitz was hit by a car and ran away. After searching all day, a citizen found him in a Dalhart neighborhood.

Officials say he died as a result from the injuries sustained by being hit by a car.

Almost two months after losing Blitz, the Hartley County Sheriff's Office has a new canine - Agon.

Agon is a belgian malinois, and he was purchased out of Florida.

Agon is fully trained and is already on the street working.
