AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - The Cargill Cares Foundation is partnering with Snack Pak 4 Kids to help feed area kids this summer.
The partnership that started seven years ago aims to help ensure that area children don't go hungry while they're not at school.
This morning, the foundation presented the organization with a $20,000.
Of that $20,000, the foundation has designated $4,000 that will help feed 100 kids while school is out for summer break.
The partnership has expanded this year to help with the Snack Pak 4 Kids summer program, as well as the typical support for the Beef 4 Kids program.
Snack Pak 4 Kids is able to feed one child for the entire summer for just $40.
This year, Snack Pak 4 Kids will serve around 1,500 children each week over the summer.
