OLDHAM COUNTY, TX (KFDA) - A man accused of killing a top executive of the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas is now in the Oldham County Jail.
Oldham County Sheriff Brent Warden said 42-year-old Anthony Wrobel was parked at a rest stop on I-40 near Vega about 3:30 a.m. when a deputy checked his registration and found out the car had been stolen in Utah.
The FBI has been searching for him for unlawfully fleeing to avoid prosecution, as well as charges of first degree murder with a deadly weapon. Las Vegas police say the first degree murder charges stem from shooting a man and woman on April 15 at a Venetian employee picnic. The woman died at the hospital, and the man is in critical condition.
Wrobel is to be arraigned and will stay in the Oldham County Jail pending extradition back to Nevada.
