CLOVIS, N.M. (KFDA) - A Clovis man will spend two and a half years in prison after he was sentenced yesterday for a fourth degree felony and a misdemeanor.
Skylar Romero, 21, was found guilty yesterday by a Curry County jury of possession of burglary tools and resisting, evading or obstructing an officer.
In May, officers were pursuing Romero on foot after he was spotted in an alley. He later admitted to throwing tools as he was running.
Police later located a wrench, screwdriver and pliers near a dumpster.
Romero also has pending charges related to another burglary that happened in July.
