The weekly fishing report as compiled for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for Dec. 6 and also available on the internet at http://www.txfishing.com :

CENTRAL

AUSTIN: Water stained; 57-66 degrees; 0.81 feet low. Black bass are slow to fair on chrome Rat-L-Traps and Texas rigs. Sunfish are fair to good on cut nightcrawlers. Catfish are fair to good on cut bait and nightcrawlers.

BASTROP: Water stained; 71-75 degrees. Black bass are fair on chartreuse and chartreuse/white soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait, chicken liver, and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are slow.

BELTON: Water stained; 70-74 degrees; 2.67 feet low. Black bass are good on dark soft plastics on the bottom. Hybrid striper are good on silver slabs. White bass are good on silver slabs. Crappie are good on minnows under lights at night in 30 feet. Channel and blue catfish are good on hot dogs and doughbait. Yellow catfish are good on trotlines baited with perch.

BROWNWOOD: Water stained; 69-73 degrees; 3.02 feet low. Black bass are fair on black/blue jigs, crankbaits, and redbug and watermelon soft plastic worms over brush piles. Hybrid striper are fair on chartreuse striper jigs. White bass are fair on Li'l Fishies and crankbaits from lighted docks at night. Crappie are good on Li'l Fishies and minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are fair on cut bait and nightcrawlers over baited holes. Yellow catfish are slow.

BUCHANAN: Water stained; 72-76 degrees; 4.44 feet low. Black bass are good on Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Traps, pumpkin Curb's jigs, and smoke/red flake grubs in 4-12 feet. Striped bass are good on Spoiler Shads, Rat-L-Traps, and jigging Pirk Minnows in 20-40 feet. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on live minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live goldfish.

CANYON LAKE: Water stained; 71-75 degrees; 3.43 feet low. Black bass are good on Rat-L-Traps and P.B.J. plastic stickbaits over flats in 5-15 feet. Striped bass are good on Spoiler Shads and Red Fins. Smallmouth bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows upriver. Channel catfish are slow. Yellow and blue catfish are fair on live bait.

COLEMAN: Water stained; 69-73 degrees; 2.22 feet low. Black bass are good on tequila sunrise soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits. Hybrid striper are good on white striper jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and chartreuse tube jigs. Channel catfish are fair on stinkbait, nightcrawlers, and frozen shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.

COLORADO RIVER: (At Colorado Bend State Park) No report available.

FAYETTE: Water murky. Black bass are good on electric blue Carolina rigged soft plastic worms and spinnerbaits along the outside edges of grass. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait and shrimp over baited holes.

GRANBURY: Water stained; 70-74 degrees; 0.44 feet low. Black bass are fair on watermelon and pumpkinseed soft plastics. Striped bass are fair on silver striper jigs. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Catfish are good on shrimp, stinkbait, and live minnows.

GRANGER: Water stained; 69-73 degrees; 0.34 feet high. Black bass are fair on green pumpkin soft plastics and Rat-L-Traps. White bass are good on slabs and spoons. Crappie are fair on minnows. Blue catfish are fair on juglines baited with shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.

LBJ: Water stained; 70-74 degrees; 0.73 feet low. Black bass are very good on Curb's buzzbaits and Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Traps in 5-12 feet. White bass are fair on Li'l Fishies and Charlie slabs. Striped bass are fair on white striper jigs. Crappie are good on live minnows over brush piles. Channel and blue catfish are fair on minnows under crappie docks. Yellow catfish are slow.

NAVARRO MILLS: Water stained; 71-75 degrees; 1.80 feet low. Black bass are slow. White bass are fair on minnows and Li'l Fishies at night. Crappie are slow. Channel catfish are fair on stinkbait and nightcrawlers. Blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

PROCTOR: Water murky; 68-72 degrees; 2.82 feet low. Black bass are good on black/purple and chartreuse soft plastic worms and crankbaits. Striped bass are slow. White bass are good on minnows, small Rat-L-Traps, and roadrunners. Crappie are good on minnows and chartreuse tube jigs in 15 feet. Channel and blue catfish are good on juglines baited with cut shad. Yellow catfish are slow.

SOMERVILLE: Water murky; 69-73 degrees; 0.12 feet high. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on juglines baited with cut shad and perch. Yellow catfish are slow.

STILLHOUSE HOLLOW: Water murky; 71-75 degrees; 2.89 feet low. Black bass are good on chartreuse soft plastics, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are fair on minnows, hot dogs, and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are slow.

TRAVIS: Water stained; 70-74 degrees; 11.56 feet low. Black bass are good on crawfish crankbaits, watermelon worms, and jigs. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on white jigging spoons and minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows and pink tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

WALTER E. LONG: Water murky. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and chartreuse tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on minnows and frozen shad. Yellow catfish are slow.

WHITNEY: Water stained; 71-75 degrees; 4.53 feet low. Black bass are fair on watermelon, watermelon red, and watermelon gold spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on minnows and jigging spoons. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are good on shrimp, liver, and stinkbait.

NORTHEAST

ATHENS: Water lightly stained; 58-61 degrees; 0.91 feet low. Black bass are good on bladed jigs, weightless Flukes and spinnerbaits. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines and night crawlers.

BENBROOK: Water stained; 57-61 degrees; 3.34 feet low. Black bass are fair on Carolina rigged worms, Texas rigged craws and small swimbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on slabs. Catfish are fair on trotlines and prepared bait.

BOB SANDLIN: Water lightly stained; 59-62 degrees; 1.16 feet low. Black bass are good on bladed jigs, Texas rigged craws and lipless crankbaits. Crappie are good on minnows. White bass are good on minnows and slabs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

BONHAM: Water stained; 56-59 degrees; 1.48 feet low. Black bass are good on bladed jigs and lipless crankbaits. Some fish being caught around docks and cattails on Texas rigged plastics and jigs. Crappie are good on jigs over brush piles in 12-15 feet. Catfish are good along creek channel with punch bait and prepared bait.

BRIDGEPORT: Water clear, 57-60 degrees: 3.44 feet low. Black bass are fair on Megabass 110 jerkbaits in elegy bone, small swimbaits and shakyhead worms. Crappie are good on minnows and tube jigs on deeper docks. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are good on slabs and minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines and prepared bait.

CADDO: Water stained; 60-63 degrees; 0.01 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged creature baits, Flukes, and bladed jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on trotlines and prepared bait

CEDAR CREEK: Water lightly stained; 58-61 degrees; 2.08 feet low. Black bass are good on squarebill crankbaits, Texas rigged craws and spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines and cut shad. White bass are good on minnows and slabs. Hybrid striper are good on slabs and minnows.

COOPER: Water stained; 77-82 degrees; 1.90 feet low. Black bass are good on Texas rigged craws, weightless Flukes and shallow crankbaits. Crappie are good on minnows. Hybrid striper and white bass are fair on slabs and minnows.

EAGLE MOUNTAIN: Water lightly stained; 56-59 degrees; 1.44 feet low. Black bass are good on finesse jigs, squarebill crankbaits and shakyhead worms. Crappie are good on jigs, Catfish are fair on trotlines and cut shad.

FAIRFIELD: Water fairly clear. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged worms, small plastic swimbaits on jigheads and bladed jigs along shoreline vegetation.

FORK: Water stained; 58-61 degrees; 1.34 feet low. Black bass are good on lipless crankbaits, bladed jigs, and Carolina rigged worms. White and yellow bass are fair on minnows and slabs Crappie are good on minnows and white jigs. Catfish are good on trotlines.

GRAPEVINE: Water lightly stained; 57-60 degrees; 0.91 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged craws, fish head spins, and spinnerbaits. White bass and hybrid bass are fair on minnows and slabs. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

JOE POOL: Water lightly stained; 58-61 degrees; 1.18 feet low. Black bass are fair on weightless Senkos, bladed jigs and lipless crankbaits. White bass are good on slabs and minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are slow on trotlines.

LAKE O' THE PINES: Water lightly stained; 60-63 degrees: 0.33 feet high. Black bass are fair on shakeyhead worms, lipless crankbaits and bladed jigs. White bass are good on minnows and slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are good on trotlines.

LAVON: Water stained; 59-62 degrees: 3.06 feet low. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits, Texas rigged creature baits and bladed jigs. White bass are fair on slabs and minnows. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

LEWISVILLE: Water lightly stained; 57-60 degrees; 1.91 feet low. Black bass are fair on bladed jigs, flipping jigs and Texas rigged craws along rock and shallow cover. White bass are good on slabs and minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on trotlines.

MARTIN CREEK: Water lightly stained; 84-89 degrees; 3.33 feet low. Black bass are fair on Flukes, lipless crankbaits and Texas rigged craws. Crappie are good on minnows. White bass are fair on minnows and slabs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

MONTICELLO: Water stained; 84-89 degrees; 0.36 feet low. Black bass are good on bladed jigs, lipless crankbaits and Texas rigged creature baits. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines and prepared bait.

PALESTINE: Water lightly stained; 56-60 degrees; 1.09 feet low. Black bass are good on bladed jigs, shakeyhead worms and Texas rigged craws. Crappie are good on minnows and white jigs. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs. White bass are fair on slabs. Catfish are good on trotlines and prepared bait.

RAY HUBBARD: Water lightly stained; 57-60 degrees; 1.97 feet low. Black bass are slow on Texas rigged craws, shallow crankbaits and shakyhead worms. Crappie are good on minnows. White bass are good on slabs and minnows. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

RAY ROBERTS: Water lightly stained; 56-59 degrees; 1.18 feet low. Black bass are good on bladed jigs, Carolina rigged worms and football jigs. White bass are fair on minnows and slabs. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are good on trotlines.

RICHLAND CHAMBERS: Water lightly stained; 55-59 degrees; 2.54 feet low. Black bass are slow on squarebill crankbaits, Texas rigged worms and lipless crankbaits. White bass are good on slabs and minnows. Hybrid striper are good on slabs and minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines and rod and reel.

TAWAKONI: Water stained; 58-61 degrees; 1.12 feet low. Black bass are fair on lipless crankbaits, black and blue flipping jigs and bladed jigs. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid bass are good on slabs. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on trotlines.

TEXOMA: Water lightly stained; 56-59 degrees; 1.50 feet high. Black bass are good on suspending jerkbaits, squarebill crankbaits and shakyhead worms. Crappie are good on minnows and tube jigs on docks and brush piles. Striped bass are good on slabs and minnows. Catfish are fair on trotlines and prepared bait.

WEATHERFORD: Water lightly stained; 56-60 degrees; 2.13 feet low. Black bass are slow on Texas rigged craws, shakyhead worms and lipless crankbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are good on trotlines and prepared bait.

WRIGHT PATMAN: Water stained; 44-54 degrees; 3.01 feet high. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs and Rat-L-Traps. No reports on crappie. Catfish are fair to good on cut shad.

SOUTH

AMISTAD: Water murky; 72-76 degrees; 23.99 feet low. Black bass are fair on crankbaits, topwaters, jigs, and soft plastics. Striped bass are fair on silver slabs. White bass are fair on silver slabs and minnows. Catfish are good on cheesebait over baited holes. Yellow catfish are good on trotlines baited with live bait. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

BRAUNIG: Water murky. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are fair on live shad. Redfish are fair on live perch and shad near the dam. Channel catfish are good on chicken livers, shrimp, and cut shad. Blue catfish are good on cut bait.

CALAVERAS: Water murky. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are fair on live shad. Redfish are fair on live perch, shad, and spoons in 15-25 feet. Channel and blue catfish are good on chicken livers, shrimp, and cut shad. Yellow catfish are slow.

CHOKE CANYON: Water stained; 71-75 degrees; 24.27 feet low. Black bass are fair on watermelon, pumpkinseed, and tequila sunrise soft plastics and spinnerbaits in 10-20 feet. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and white/pink tube jigs. Drum are fair on live worms. Channel and blue catfish are good on frozen shrimp, liver, and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are fair on live perch.

COLETO CREEK: Water clear; 90 degrees at the hot water discharge, 72 degrees in main lake; 0.91 feet low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse soft plastics in 6-10 feet. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on perch in 8-10 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.

FALCON: Water murky; 73-77 degrees; 17.55 feet low. Black bass are fair on spinnerbaits and crankbaits in creeks and coves. Striped bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are very good on shrimp, cut bait, and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.

SOUTHEAST

CONROE: Water stained; 71-75 degrees; 0.50 feet low. Black bass are fair on watermelon red and watermelon gold crankbaits in 20-30 feet. Striped bass are good on chartreuse striper jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on stinkbait, liver, and shrimp.

GIBBONS CREEK: Water stained. Black bass are fair on tequila sunrise soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are good on shrimp and nightcrawlers.

HOUSTON COUNTY: Water stained; 64-68 degrees; 0.01 feet high. Black bass to 5 pounds are fair on soft plastic worms, crankbaits, and minnows in 10 feet. Crappie are fair on live minnows. Bream are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.

LIVINGSTON: Water stained; 70-74 degrees; 0.90 feet low. Black bass are fair on watermelon crankbaits. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Blue catfish are good on shad. Yellow catfish are slow.

SAM RAYBURN: Water stained; 69-73 degrees; 2.46 feet low. Black bass are good on tequila sunrise soft plastic worms, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits, and on watermelon red topwaters in 20-30 feet. White bass are good on minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Bream are fair on worms. Catfish are good on stinkbait, shrimp, and liver.

STEINHAGEN: 1.93 feet high. No report available.

TOLEDO BEND: Water stained; 70-74 degrees; 4.55 feet low. Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows over brush piles. Bream are fair on worms. Channel and blue catfish are good on liver, shrimp, and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.

PANHANDLE

GREENBELT: Water off color; 48-57 degrees; 32.22 low. Black bass are fair on Rat-L-Traps, Texas rigs and jigs. Crappie are fair on marabou jigs and live minnows. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and cut bait.

MACKENZIE: 73.87 feet low. Black bass are fair on shad pattern crankbaits, spoons and Texas rigs. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers. No reports on crappie.

MEREDITH: Water fairly clear; 47-55 degrees; 47.53 feet low. Black bass are fair on drop shot rigs, Suspending Rogues and live minnows. No reports of smallmouth bass or walleye. Bream and channel catfish are being caught in good numbers.

WEST

ALAN HENRY: Water clear main lake, stained to muddy upriver; 66 degrees; 4.85 feet low. Black bass are fair on crankbaits and spoons. Crappie and bass are fair on minnows. Catfish are good on punch bait and live worms.

ARROWHEAD: Water fairly clear; 57-66 degrees; 2.17 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs, Rat-L-Traps and jigs. Crappie are fair on live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers.

COLORADO CITY: 15.17 feet low. After a period of drought, this lake caught water and boating is now allowed. However, it is not currently recommended for fishing due to severe golden alga blooms.

FORT PHANTOM HILL: Water off color; 55-64 degrees; 1.43 feet low. Black bass are fair on shakyheads, Texas rigs and drop shot rigs. Crappie are fair on live minnows. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers.

HUBBARD CREEK: Water off color; 58-64 degrees; 2.9 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs, lipless crankbaits and jigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and live shiners.

NASWORTHY: 56-65 degrees; 1.06 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs and squarebills. No reports on crappie. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers.

OAK CREEK: Water stained; 58-65 degrees; 10.54 feet low. Black bass are fair on drop shot rigs, Texas rigs and chrome/black Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are fair to good on live minnows. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers.

O.H. IVIE: Water stained; 57-66 degrees; 37.44 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs, jigs and drop shot rigs. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers.

POSSUM KINGDOM: Water off color; 58-65 degrees; 1.09 feet low. Black bass are fair to good on Rat-L-Traps, drop shot rigs and jigs. Crappie are fair on live minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on slabs and tail spinners. Striped bass are fair on live shad. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers.

SPENCE: 50.78 feet low. Catfish are fair to good on cut bait and nightcrawlers.

STAMFORD: Water stained; 48-57 degrees; 0.37 feet low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigs. Crappie are fair on jigs and live minnows. White bass are fair on live bait and Little Georges. Blue catfish are fair on cut and live bait.

SWEETWATER: Water off color; 55-64 degrees; 24.23 feet low. Black bass are slow. Catfish are fair on cut bait.

WHITE RIVER: Water stained; 53-63 degrees; 21.24 feet low. Black bass are slow. No reports on crappie. Catfish are fair on cheese bait.

COASTAL

NORTH SABINE: Trout are fair to good under the birds when the wind allows. Redfish are good in the marsh on small topwaters and Stanley Ribbits.

SOUTH SABINE: Bull redfish are good at the jetty on crabs. Sheepshead and black drum are good at the jetty on live shrimp. Trout are fair around the Reef on live shrimp.

BOLIVAR: Trout are fair to good on the south shoreline on soft plastics and plugs. Black drum and redfish are good at Rollover Pass.

TRINITY BAY: Trout are good for drifters working pods of shad and mullet on Bass Assassins and Gamblers. Redfish are good at the spillway on crabs and mullet.

EAST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are fair to good on the south shoreline on topwaters and soft plastics. Whiting and sand trout are good on the edge of the Intracoastal on fresh shrimp.

WEST GALVESTON BAY: Sheepshead, redfish and black drum are good at the jetty on shrimp and crabs. Trout are fair along drop-offs in the channel.

FREEPORT: Sand trout and sheepshead are good on live shrimp on the reefs. Bull redfish are good in Cold Pass and San Luis pass on cracked blue crabs.

EAST MATAGORDA BAY: Trout are fair for drifters on live shrimp over humps and scattered shell. Redfish are good on the edge of the Intracoastal on crabs and mullet.

WEST MATAGORDA BAY: Redfish are fair to good on the south shoreline in the guts and bayous. Trout are fair to good in the Colorado River at night on glow plastics. Flounder are fair to good on soft plastics over muddy bottoms.

PORT O'CONNOR: Trout and redfish are fair on Corkies over soft mud in waist-deep water in San Antonio Bay. Redfish are good at the mouths of drains.

ROCKPORT: Redfish are fair to good at California Hole on shrimp. Trout are fair on the edge of the ICW on glow DOA Shrimp. Redfish are fair to good on the Estes Flats on mullet and shrimp.

PORT ARANSAS: Redfish are fair to good on the East Flats on Gulps and mullet. Sand trout are good on shrimp in the channel.

CORPUS CHRISTI: Redfish are fair to good around Shamrock Cove on small topwaters and spoons. Redfish are good in the Humble Channel on crabs and table shrimp.

BAFFIN BAY: Trout are fair to good in mud and grass on Corkies and Soft-Dines. Redfish are good in the Land Cut on natural baits.

PORT MANSFIELD: Trout are fair to good on DOA Shrimp under a popping cork around grass holes. Redfish are fair to good while drifting pot holes. Trout are fair to good on muddy shorelines and on the edge of the ICW on Corkies.

SOUTH PADRE: Trout and redfish are fair to good on the edge of the Intracoastal on DOA Shrimp and Gulps. Redfish, black drum and mangrove snapper are fair to good in the channel on shrimp.

PORT ISABEL: Trout are fair on the edge of the flats on soft plastics under popping corks. Redfish are good in the potholes on gold spoons.
