DPS traffic stop yields $2.8 million worth of methamphetamine

CARSON COUNTY, TX (KFDA) - A DPS Trooper seized almost 33 pounds of methamphetamine Thursday, Oct. 5, after a vehicle stop in Carson County.

Around 2:10 p.m., the Trooper stopped a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado traveling east on I-40 near Conway, for a traffic violation. The Trooper then discovered multiple plastic-wrapped bundles of methamphetamine inside the spare tire.

Roberto Inguez Guillen, 38,  was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.

He was transported and booked into the Carson County jail.

The drugs were allegedly being transported from Las Vegas to Oklahoma City.

The drugs are worth approximately $2.8 million.
