Amarillo Fire Marshall releases name of suspect in San Jacinto house fire

AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) -

The Amarillo Fire Marshal’s Office has ruled the fire at 710 S. Mississippi was intentionally set, and a suspect is currently in custody.

Amarillo Fire Marshall Jacob Diaz says Bradley Sommers is in custody in connection with the fire that happened last night. 

Around 8:00 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to the 700 block of South Mississippi on a house fire call.

The fire was contained around 9:15 p.m.

Officials said the house is for sale, and no one was home at the time of the fire.

Damage from the fire are estimated at $35,000.

Sommers is in the Potter County Detention Center charged with arson.
