LOS ANGELES (RNN) - Police arrested a suspected car thief and a passenger without incident after a two-hour pursuit.
Officials began chasing the stolen SUV around the Los Angeles area since 12:30 p.m. PT - that's a two-hour pursuit.
The driver of the black Ford Excursion pulled over to the side of an interstate at about 2:35 p.m. local time. The suspect followed police commands, approached officials with his hands up, lay on the ground, was then handcuffed and placed in the back of a police SUV.
Police have no confirmation that the suspects are armed but are treating the suspects as such.
The driver exited the freeway a couple of times to navigate the narrow roads of downtown Los Angeles to avoid capture.
Local media reports a group of five California Highway Patrol SUV's were pursuing the stolen vehicle.
No reports yet on what is in the trailer.
