HEMPHILL COUNTY, TX (KFDA) -

Private investigators hired by the family of Thomas Brown, the Hemphill County teenager now missing for more than 5 months, have recovered a "tremendous amount" of information after a large search of the area he was last seen.

KIC TX released a brief statement regarding the search this week:

For the past 5 days, KIC TX, along with a specialized human remains detection dog, conducted an 18 area search in and around Canadian, Texas. We have garnered a tremendous amount of information in order to further this case along. We urge the public to continue to help by mailing, sending, or messaging tips. We promise to keep you ANONYMOUS.

Investigators also thanked the community for its support during the search.

Klein Investigations and Consulting was hired by Brown's family in January to aid in the ongoing search. The group immediately said it believed foul play was involved in the 18-year-old's disappearance and urged residents to come forward with any information.

Brown was reported missing on Nov. 23. A $20,000 reward is being offered by the family.
