More than 2,000 without power in Oklahoma

CIMARRON COUNTY, OK (KFDA) - Power companies serving several Oklahoma counties are reporting outages possibly caused by icy and windy conditions in the area Tuesday.

Tri-County Electric Cooperative says all customers in Boise City, Keyes and Elkhart are currently without power. Restoration efforts are ongoing as of 3:15 p.m., officials said.

An outline outage map confirms more than 2,000 residents are without power, largely in Cimarron and Morton counties.

The area was hit by rain-snow mixtures throughout Tuesday morning and into the afternoon. Forecast models detail inclement weather into the evening but conditions are expected to improve overnight.
