RANDALL COUNTY, TX (KFDA) - Ralph Ingrim's mother, who is now his guardian, has filed a lawsuit against Randall County and others claiming they are responsible for letting her son suffer traumatic brain injuries in 2015 while in the county jail.
Demands for answers to the federal suit went out Monday. His mother, Serena Kincanon filed the suit against the county, its medical provider and individuals like the sheriff and jailers.
Ingrim, 53, suffered small seizures for more than 20 years after having a brain tumor removed. The suit says Amarillo police arrested him during a seizure after a store employee reported he was acting strangely.
According to the suit, after Kincanon found Ingrim in the jail and employees didn't give him his anti-seizure drug, she left to arrange bail for him. When she returned he had fallen and was suffering from skull fractures and internal bleeding.
