OLDHAM COUNTY, TX (KFDA) - Much-needed rain helped firefighters and officials now say the fire in Oldham County is 100 percent contained.
The Green Ranch Fire, which began earlier in the afternoon about ten miles north of Vega, burned around 396 acres.
According to the Oldham County Emergency Management Office, four homes in the area were contacted by law enforcement to evacuate just as a precaution. No reports of losses have been made.
Among the responding departments were Vega, Boys Ranch, Potter County, Dalhart, Amarillo and the Texas A&M Forest Service.
