HEMPHILL COUNTY, TX (KFDA) - An investigation firm hired by the family of Thomas Brown, a Canadian High School senior last seen in late 2016, believes "foul play was involved" in his disappearance.
Klein Investigations and Consulting believes Brown did not leave Canadian in November willingly or plan his disappearance. The firm also said it's a "strong possibility" that Thomas was injured Nov. 23, the night he was last seen.
Earlier this month a $20,000 reward has been posted for information leading to Brown.
"We want to make clear we are the civil investigators on the case," according a statement released by KIC. "The purpose of our release at this time is we believe there is a person or persons at Canadian High School with direct knowledge of the circumstances surrounding his disappearance."
In February, authorities discovered his backpack nearly four miles from the spot search dogs lost trace of him during their initial searches in November.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the firm or the Hemphill County Sheriff's Office.
