The Don Harrington Discovery Center has a Spring Break Spectacular you don't want to miss.
They have several family events to help keep your kids learning and having fun this week.
Starting Monday, March 13 through Friday, March 17, you can enjoy special science-themed activities in addition to the Space Theater Dome Planetarium, and exhibits.
Daily admission is $11 for adults, $8 for children (ages 2-11), students and military, and free for
children 2 and under. Members of the Discovery Center are free.
Monday 3/13: Astronomy Day, 1:00-4:30 pm
Learn how to make clouds, imagine life on other planets and size up our solar system by creating your own pocket solar system to take home!
Tuesday 3/14: Pi Day, 1:00-4:30 pm
Enjoy activities and demos surrounding the number Pi=3.1415926.
Plus it's Einstein's birthday so the DHDC staff will be serving FREE* pie starting at 1:59 pm.
Visitors also have the opportunity to participate in a pie-eating contest at 3:00 pm. *while supplies last.
Wednesday 3/15: Zoology Day, 12:00-4:30 pm
Create your own animal print stamp to take home and learn about different animal tracks.
Visitors may also test their skills as a veterinarian at the 'DHDC Vet Clinic'.
Learn how to enjoy nature as a family with the Wild Cat Bluff from 12:00 pm-4:00 pm.
Wild West Wildlife Rehabilitation Center will be on-hand from 10:30 am until 2:00 pm with live critter friends and teaching you what to do when you find an injured wild animal.
Thursday 3/16: Biology Day, 12:30-4:30 pm
Come and help out those in need by donating the gift of life with Coffee Memorial.
Eligible donors will receive a free T-shirt and be entered into a drawing for 50" TV and a $100 gift card to Texas Firehouse.
Biology Day activities include testing your fears by dissecting a cow eye and learning how to treat wounds in the 'DHDC Clinic'.
Friday 3/17: Physics Day, 1:00-4:30 pm
Test your fears by letting a bowling ball swing by your face or lie on a bed of nails! You can also take a ride on DHDC's hover board and craft your own to take home.
