NW OK complex fire 29% contained

BEAVER COUNTY, OK (KFDA) -

After almost one full week of fighting flames, fire crews are finally able to contain some of the massive wildfires in Oklahoma and Kansas.

According to the Oklahoma Forestry Service, The Northwest Oklahoma Complex Fire is now 29% contained. 

This blaze started out as three separate fires that merged into one. One of which is the Starbuck Fire that started in Beaver County and burned well into Kansas. 

More than 700,000 acres lost from this wildfire. according to the OFS, resources to help fight this blaze are coming from Arkansas, Louisiana, and Kentucky.
