AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) -

Amarillo police are searching for the suspects who robbed two women outside of a restaurant Thursday evening.

The Amarillo Police Department says the women were walking to a vehicle when a man suddenly appeared and stole a purse off one of the victim's shoulders. The other woman chased after the suspect but was robbed by a second unidentified male suspect.

One of the men left the scene as a passenger inside a gray four-door vehicle. The second suspect fled on foot into an alleyway by the 7400 block of SW 34th Ave. The suspect vehicle then followed.

Police said the driver of the getaway vehicle pointed a gun at a witness who tried to stop one of the suspects.

APD only partially identified one of the suspects as a 5'5" male in his teens or early twenties who had curly blonde hair.

One of the female victims sustained minor injuries.

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 806-374-4400 or leave an anonymous tip online at www.amapolice.org.
