LATEST: One airlifted following Wednesday crash on SH-136

POTTER COUNTY, TX (KFDA) -

12:12 p.m.

Deputies with the Potter County Sheriff's Office said a semi-truck collided with a passenger vehicle on SH-136 around 11:30 a.m. 

The driver of the car was airlifted to an area hospital after being extricated from the vehicle. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.

Officials did not determine who was at fault for the wreck.

The Texas Department of Public Safety will lead the investigation.


11:52 a.m. 

Authorities are slowly opening northbound traffic on SH-136.


11:42 a.m.

 Potter County deputies and emergency personnel are clearing wreckage along SH-136 and F.M. 245.

The wreck has closed traffic on the highway in both directions. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area while officials restore traffic. 

A LifeStar helicopter landed near the wreck and has since left the scene but the severity of the injuries are currently unknown.
