KFDA - Walmart is in the hot seat after more people are learning that the company is selling "Black Lives Matter" gear, including a sweatshirt with the slogan "Bulletproof."
The shirts have been on sale for a few months now, but the addition of the "Bulletproof" line has renewed controversy in the apparel.
However, this isn't the first time the company is making headlines for selling controversial items.
A few months ago, Walmart was in the public eye after selling an "All Lives Matter" bumper sticker.
Walmart's policy on not selling items that could be deemed offensive caused the retail giant to close all sales of the Confederate flag and all items representing it more than a year ago, which has many people questioning why other "offensive" products, like these, are for sale.
The shirts, made by third party company Old Glory, are made available through the retailer's website.
The company's clothing line is extremely diverse, selling products like Disney t-shirts, ugly Christmas sweaters, and cartoon hoodies.
It also sells "All Lives Matter," "Blue Lives Matter," and "Black Lives Also Matter" products.
Despite not directly selling the clothing line, people on social media reacted negatively toward Walmart for its decision to allow these items on its site.
Customers even took to the product's comment section to voice their concerns.
NewsChannel 10 reached out to Walmart but it has yet to comment.
